UT Dallas Teaching Scholars Scholarship

UT Dallas Teaching Scholars Program, launched in partnership with the Toyota USA Foundation in 2022, will help address the shortage of STEM teachers in Dallas ISD and underrepresented student STEM inequities. The UT Dallas Teaching Scholars program will address the severe shortage of qualified, diverse STEM teachers in school districts such as Dallas ISD who serve high populations of underrepresented students. Lacking access to strong STEM educators impacts underrepresented students’ opportunities to learn and grow in their knowledge and interest of STEM fields, including future degree and careers. UT Dallas Teaching Scholars will receive up to $10,000 per year for three years (maximum) for their education, allowing them to enter the teaching profession without large debt burdens.
