Profile
Dr. Chizeck has an interdisciplinary background ranging from Asian Studies and social sciences to psychotherapy and experiential learning. She moved to the Interdisciplinary Studies department from Social Sciences in 1985 to build the IS Internship program and has taught the core course in various forms since then. As a former director of several health institutions in New Jersey, she has a long standing interest in social services, mental health issues and how people cope with chronic illness.
She has been a frequent national conference speaker and wellness consultant. She served for many years on the Board of the National Society for Experiential Education and edited its journal for eight years.
